Over-Barrel Suppressors

The Over-barrel suppressor is used for silencing the bang of the muzzle gases. The suppressor is fixed at the muzzle end. The overbarrel silencer conducts a part of the muzzle gases to the rear so that it is shorter than a End-Barrel Suppressor. By the inserted muzzle brake also the recoil is dampened.

Advantage : Suitable for medium range, relatively short

Disadvantage : More frequent cleaning required. Condensate formation larger, therefore more maintenance-intensive
